Yamata Sewing Machines
How much should I sell my Yamata Fy900 sewing machine for on ebay?
I also have a case of 18 big overlock thread spools…(I have NO sewing experience so I dont know if I wrote that right)
It is brand new….never used…I got it as a bday present a few years ago and opened it and set it up, but never used it….
Anyways, so this will be my first ebay sale and I just need some tips and advice! Thanks!
Also…how much do I charge for shipping?, it’s pretty big 
When I want to buy or sell something on ebay I usually research the item on the auction site before making a bid or post a sale item.
A Yamata FY900 is presently for sale on ebay at this time. If you look at the ad, the buyer is asking for $69.99 for a Buy It Now item with shipping and handling going charges for $15.66. You should look at their ad and watch it to see if it sells. You can also look back at the history of sales on Ebay to see what other Yamata FY900′s have gone for.
As for the serger thread, it depends upon the brand. Compare the prices at a business like JoAnn’s to compare prices. I would recommend selling at 50% less than the JoAnn’s price since their sales price usually give a 40% in discount; you’ll also have add to adequate fees to cover postage. Selling in lots of 6 might be another good way to auction the thread since enthusiast like to get deals in lots.
