Threading Sewing Machines
why does my sewing machine thread keep breaking?
everytime i start sewing something with my sewing machine.. the top thread breaks. It happens like.. every 5 or 10 seconds.. and i keep threading it.. and i tried changing the tension and length of the thread and everything! …help?

Tension and stitch length are not the issue.
Make sure the bobbin case is properly installed or the bobbin thread will grab the top thread, wrap it around the shuttle and then either jam or break the thread.
Another possibility is the top thread is catching on the thread spool top or wrapping around the spool pin.
Check the bobbin case and then re thread the machine (always with the presser foot up). Then with the bobbin area cover open, hand walk a few stitches as you watch the top thead feed from the spool and catch the bobbin thread to form stitches. Be sure to use a scrap of fabric to catch the stitching.
