hem stitch sewing machine
Which type of sewing machine should I get, old or new?

Should I get an older refurbished heavy duty machine, maybe a kenmore or a newer Janome type model? I have $150 to work with, and I’m starting a small online fabric doll- and toy-making business.

I need at least stretch stitch, straight, and zigzag and buttonhole stitches on it, and possibly hem stitch. I need help choosing.
What patronizing responses. I’d hardly be considering a business if I didn’t sew well. I make fabric dolls and baby clothes. I’ve sold my crafts before, and I had a lot of business lined up for the holiday season, but my machine Olde Faithful conked out on me. I want a decent reliable machine. I will probably be sewing a little every day, but it’s not like I’m going to be sitting at my machine for 8 hours every day or anything like that.

Thanks, I’ll just wing it. ;)

depends on what kind of sewing you want to do just for minor sewing and repairs just any one will do if you want to lean to embroider all of the fancy stuff then I reccommend a pfaff or any embroidery machine they are well worth the money in the long run
