Singer Sewing Machine Table

What is the value of a Singer sewing machine 500A?
I have a singer sewing machine 500A with sewing table, original accessories and box and the manuel. It is in excellant shape. I am the 2nd owner. The sewing table does have some spray paint on the side. The original owner was going to paint it but stopped at that one side. I paid nothing for it. It was on Craigslist for free. What is the value?
Hi, I’m a sewing machine tech and collector. I also own one of these 500′s ( the Rocketeer) and watch them all the time on eBay. People do pay up to 400.00 for these but they are getting ripped off by some guys who call them industrial machines. They are not. They are all metal geared and have an internal motor but they cannot sew through heavy leather or anything heavy on a consistant basis. But the sellers do show pics of them do such. Which they will but they are not meant to do it steady all the time. With the right needles, tensions and thread almost any tabletop machine can do that.
It would be fair to pay 250.00 for a pristine Rocketeer with all the attachments, cams, etc. But for an average one that just works and has been proffesionally cleaned, oiled and adjusted I put the value at 150.00. Less than that these are 50 to 100.00 machines.
Then again any machine is only worth what someone is willing to pay and you are willing to accept.
As far as the table, well, they are a dime a dozen. If you refinish it and it looks nice I would put the value of it all at 200.00 . Because thats as high as I would be willing to go and it would have to be perfect.
Nice find on Craigslist. Don’t sell it though. I don’t think you would find another for a long time. Use it and have fun with it. To replace it with a new machine that can do all that it does would cost at least a couple hundred, that would be the insurance value. Again, nice find.
