Sewing Machine HELP!?
I have a 222k Singer sewing machine and it’s not working. I can’t get the needle to pick up the bobin thread from underneath. I’ve read through the manual about 20 times and it doesn’t say anything that would help! Does anyone know what’s wrong??
Everything is working properly, it’s just that the bobbin isn’t picking up the thread. It’s spinning aound but isn’t catching on the thread so the needle can’t pull it up.
Mine did the same thing. Only I paid someone to take mine in for service, but when he brought it back, he was gracious enough to give me a little hint. And it has worked find, even after I did it. You can check your needle, check to see if the bobbin is seated in correctly etc. But the main reason it does this is because the TENSION on the machine is not set to the right tension. This is something you have to adjust and try and maybe adjust and try several times. But once you get the right tension levels, your machine should work as good as new.
