Singer 7422 Sewing Machine
My sewing machine is broken, should I get it repaired or replaced?
It’s a singer advance Model #: 7422 Serial # 1637422G290609
What’s specifically wrong with it is Stitches occasionally skip, and when I switch to a zig zag stitch, it doesn’t work. It will continue to only stitch in a straight line instead of the zig zag because the stitching keeps skipping the zig zags on the right.
I have re-threaded using different threads several times, switched needles, and even replaced the bobbin holder with a new one but it still continues to do this. Are there any places in Calgary, AB that can help fix this problem?
send it in to get it repaired. sounds like someone sewed something too thick for the machine. the shank that the needle assembly is on has been pushed up and needs to be lowered a little bit. I know how to do it on an industrial machine but not sure if a regular machine is the same. best to take it in
