Sewing Machine Power Cord
I’m looking for information on an antique sewing machine. A Wizard 3KC 8850 “Deluxe Precision Built”?
I was given the machine by a thrift store to play with and see if it was worth trying to sell. I believe it came out of a cabinet, but the donor put it in a plastic case. There is a short power cord attached, and an unattached cord with a foot pedal on one end and connectors in the middle, with a plug on the other end. If I can get it wired up correctly, I think it will work fine, as it sews if I turn the wheel by hand.
That looks like the machine I have. I didn’t think it was anything special. But, I thought I’d at least make it useable again rather than throwing it in the dumpster where it was headed before I got it. Thank you. 
IT’s probably not an antique, just “vintage”… iirc, Wizard was Western Auto’s house brand,and it was probably a Japanese import machine. If this is a straight stitch only machine, it might be a knockoff of a Singer 15: http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/15.pdf Gazillions of these “badged machines” were imported, especially in the 50s and 60s.
Look around on the body of the machine for a connector for the pedal. Unless you want to play for the joy of tinkering, it’s probably not worth going much farther than this — but if you want to, consider joining the yahoo group “wefixit”, where you might even find someone with another one.
Value is probably low — vintage machines, other than a few with cult followings, typically fetch $0-50 in my part of the world, PNW — and typically $0-20.
