best price on used embroidery sewing machine?
i’m in great need of a good embroidery machine i volunteer in my church embroidreing linens i don’t have much money to get a new machine i need de best for lest $$$ please help me tank you
The biggest part of this answer would be what kind do you want? There are many name brands, Janome, Brother, Tajama.
I would suggest that you go to a sewing store and discuss with them that you are looking at purchasing a used machine. People will purchase a small hoop machine and find out quickly that a larger hoop allow more mobility. Good merchants will allow regular customers to upgrade and give them more for their machine that selling it used.
Some even have financing available through a third party. I would be leary of purchasing through a newspaper add or independent party, unless they would be willing to have the machine looked at prior to purchase. There are many levels of embroidery machines, some as low as a few hundred dollars, and tens of thousands. You do however get what you pay for in service and name. Sewing stores will also teach you your specific machine, where purchasing at a fabric store or big name dept store will teach you nothing. Keep in mind that there is more to machine embroidery than the machine. You will need machine embroidery thread ( totally different than regular embroidery thread purchased in the skein) multiple stabilizers and designs.
