Sewing Machine Carrier

Which sewing machine?
Ive never sewed before but I would like to start sewing infant carriers as a means of extra income. I’ve looked at a few sewing machines on Amazon.com (mainly the 60-stitch Brother and then the $80 Brother) but I really don’t even know what I’m looking for. Any reccomendations? What should I look for?
Watch the sewn kids products stuff if you’re in the US. There’s a fairly new law called CPSIA that is very confusing, and potentially very expensive to small businesses like yours if you run afoul of it, and you might well. More information about it here: http://www.fashion-incubator.com/category/cpsia/ and http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/cpsia.html
As far as sewing machines, the cheapies will not last long under production sewing conditions.
