Where can I get a replacement foot pedal for a Singer fashion Mate 257 sewing machine?
My sewing machine was given to me by my late grandmother and it needs another foot pedal.Is there a type of adapter that can be used?Is the original foot pedal hard to find?Can it be found at Sears? I know I’m full of questions but I would really like to get this machine working.Its still in it’s own wooden cabinet. Thanks in advance!

The machine can be removed from the cabinet for taking in to be repaired.
Many, many years ago the Singer representative came to the home to repair the machines.
