Janome Jr1012
This is a question for anyone who knows anything about Sewing Machines?
Which machine is the better machine with more capabilities, the Janome JR1012 or the Toyota FSR21? Here are the websites for both:
Toyota:

Janome:

Which make is better and also which is better value for money. They are both selling for the same price where I live.
Please feel free to add any comments about the stitch functions available in both machines
Any help is appreciated!!
just going on brand names, Janome has a much better reputation for a sewing machine. If you are a beginner sewer I would highly recommend buying from a sewing machine dealer. Pfaff, Viking, Bernina and Janome are all good brands. And getting a used machine in you budget would be a better idea. at a dealer you can demo the machines before you buy. many dealer will give you free lessons on how to use the machine you buy from them. this is important if you have never sewed before. they will always be there for any questions in the future too.
