Janome Computerized Sewing Machine
Recommended sewing machines?
Right now I have a Janome Sew Petite that I use for sewing everything. The bobbin thread gets messed up every 2 – 10 stitches, and I have to stop and fix it, making it impossible to sew with the bobbin plate cover on.
So, i decided that I really need a new machine. I do not need a lot of different stitches, I usually use the straight stitches and the zig zag stitches. I use it mostly for sewing clothes. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a sewing machine for me? I don’t want something computerized or really expensive. I’m planning on spending $100 – $200. I just need something that won’t break down on me and will last me a while. I do not need something super complex.

The sewing machine I’ve been recommending to people who want a “basic model” machine is the Brother that was developed for Project Runway. It’s a $400 electronic machine. It’s performance is almost as good as that of machines costing 4 times as much and it’s easier to use.
