Denim Needles
How do you sew denim so that the thread doesn’t show?
I have a pair of jeans that I want to fix up a little like they’re bootcut jeans and I want to make them into skinny jeans but I don’t have a sewing machine(that works) I tried making one of my old pair of jeans into skinny jeans and it worked but the thread show and its kind of embarassing.
So if u know how to do it just with thread and a needle please tell me.
Are you sewing with the jeans inside out? What hand stitch are you using? You’ll need well-tensioned backstitches to prevent the thread from showing on the outside — there’s even a name for this problem — it’s called “seam grin”.
