Brother Sewing Machine Needles
sewing machine needle?
does anyone know what size needle a brother vx-808 sewing machine uses? i broke the needle so i looked at it and it said 14…just 14. a friend gave me one that said 14/? or ?/14 (i cant remember the other number) but it was too big. help!
There are two numbers on the needle that indicate size; 80/14. The first number is EU and the second US (as in European and American).
There are other numbers, such as 130/705H and this indicates the type. This example is the number for a universal needle.
The needles packages are marked sharp, universal, microtex, jeans, knit, embroidery and quilting – choose the one that best matches the fabric you are sewing.
Make sure the needle clamp is loose enough to insert the needle; flat side of the upper needle shaft facing the back of the sewing machine.
