Brother Ls 2160 Sewing Machine
my sewing machine is acting weird after i oiled it and changed the bulb?
so i have a brother LS-2160 sewing machine.i haven’t used it for about 2 months so today i felt like sewing and i oiled it b4 i began…now the upper thread keeps folding at the front side of the fabric and cutting off….i am so upset i don’t know what to do?
can any one please help me on this…
Page 43 of the manual refers to oiling as indicated in figure A. However, all I could find was to wipe the shuttle with an oily cloth.
The manual also states to run the machine without thread for several minutes after oiling.
I would check the bobbin area and wipe away any excess oil and then run the machine with out thread, “sewing” a folded scrap of fabric.
Replace the needle, according to the manual and if the problem continues, you will have to take it into the shop for service. Take a sample of the stitching so the repair tech can see what is happening.
